Running Gear must haves for the triathlete
Just starting out with your training and not sure what you need? Thankfully,
running gear won’t cost as much as your bicycle gear.
Triathletes need to look past shoes for gear list
Here is a list for you to consider when getting all of your supplies for your
next Triathlon:
• Running shorts – you might end up going with the same pair in the water and on
your bike.
• Running shirt – Tank tops designed for running might work better on hotter
days.
• Running socks – a matter of personal preference. Try it both ways and see what
you like.
• Running shoes – you’ll need to consider if you’re going to get a pair of
racing shoes or regular running shoes. Running shoes absorb more bounce than
running shoes.
• Night light reflector bib for dusk or evening running sessions
• Hat –Make sure it breathes properly and doesn’t keep your heat inside.
• Sun glasses – get a pair that’s going to stay on and not slip off of your nose
when you run
• Sun screen – you’re going to be out running in the sun for at least a couple
of hours (you wish) and probably more like four hours.
• Hydration system. Okay, this might just be a couple of water bottles or you
could go with a camel back.
• Watch – Timex Ironman is the classic sports watch here. It has a ton of
features that will help the triathlete during his or her running sessions.
